The referee, who hails from Soweto, awarded both teams questionable penalties and made comments that have angered Chippa United management.
When Chippa captain Andile Mbenyane and his teammates appealed for a hand-ball inside the penalty box, it is alleged that Mosia said he could not give the team a second penalty.
“How can the PSL appoint a referee from Gauteng knowing that Jomo Cosmos is also from Gauteng?” Chilli Boys CEO Peter Koutroulis tells KickOff.com.
“The ref made a lot of mistakes on the night. Plus, how can a ref tell my captain: ‘I know it’s a penalty but I can’t give you another penalty because I gave you one already?’
“I sent the PSL and Safa a letter this morning and I put everything in the letter. We are sending a clear message that we don’t want such things in our football.”
There were a total of five penalties awarded in eight matches this weekend in the First Division.
