MCDC: Polokwane sink Tuks

Premiership

The result lifted City to second on the Group B standings with nine points from five games - two points above fourth-placed Tuks, and two behind leaders Bloemfontein Celtic, who earlier drew with ten-man Maritzburg United.

Rise and Shine took the lead in the 20th minute through Mothusi Gobane, who also netted a brace in the 2-1 victory over Moroka Swallows on Saturday.

Denver Mukamba equalised in the 70th minute with a fine individual effort following some good work from Botshelo Mfulwane.

Dikgang Ngcobo added a second for Tuks in the 85th minute.

However, substitute Nxumalo drew level a minute later from a one-on-one situation before bagging the winner in similar fashion with a cool finish past the advancing Thakasani Mbanjwa.
