The Turkish-born tactician adds he is looking forward to his first official match in charge of Pirates, the Carling Black Label Cup against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
"It's a very unique competition and you won't find it in any other part of the world. It’s a fantastic football event for both player and spectator.
"It's a game that will definitely pose a nice challenge for the team, however, I don't think that our season rests on this.
"It will show what we have and what we don't have. But like I said, our season doesn't depend on what happens in the game, win or lose," Ertugral concludes.
