"These boys are very bright talents and that's exactly why I acquired their services,” he told KickOff.com. "They’re young, exciting and have lots of pace, and that’s what the team needs.

The Turkish-born tactician adds he is looking forward to his first official match in charge of Pirates, the Carling Black Label Cup against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

"It's a very unique competition and you won't find it in any other part of the world. It’s a fantastic football event for both player and spectator.

"It's a game that will definitely pose a nice challenge for the team, however, I don't think that our season rests on this.

"It will show what we have and what we don't have. But like I said, our season doesn't depend on what happens in the game, win or lose," Ertugral concludes.
