Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa has revealed a recent development that could become an issue between him and coach Pitso Mosimane.
Lebusa has been enjoying good form at Sundowns since Mosimane moved him to centre-back following the injury to Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento.
However, with Nascimento fit again having started the CAF Champions League match against Petro de Luanda at centre-back, Lebusa was shifted to left-back and substituted in the last 20 minutes for Tebogo Langerman.
The former Ajax Cape Town captain has now revealed that his position was something he discussed with Mosimane before he agreed to move to Chloorkop.
"Before I went to Sundowns I had a brief chat with him. I told him straightforward that I don't see myself as a left-back, I want to be a centre-back," said Lebusa.
"He said 'if you are willing to work hard, willing to listen to me, willing to do the job, I will gladly make you a centre-back'. Thats how I came to Sundowns. Ever since then I told myself I need to work hard and listen to instructions.
"Wayne [Arendse] has also helped me as well. He is a good professional. All the games he played, he did well. Every time I play he wishes me luck and always gives advice."
Sundowns are back at training after being given a few days off to start preparing for their final Champions League group game against Wydad Casablanca in Tshwane on Saturday (15h00).
