Marques has credited the senior players for the Dube Birds' turnaround – from being relegation candidates to fighting for a top eight spot – and the 51-year-old mentor says he will be counting on Tsutsulupa and company to get the better of log leaders Chiefs.
"I'm counting on Lefa's leadership to inspire the team against Chiefs," he says.
"Fortunately, we have a lot of senior players who are mature and responsible. Together they managed to get out of the situation. They took the decision to do this for Swallows, because at the end of the day we are playing for this club; we are representing the badge. There is a lot at stake and I think the players realise that.
"Hopefully we can entertain the fans on Saturday night.
"It is a challenge facing Chiefs, but my team has showed in the past that we've got a character for this big matches. We have done well against the Pirates and Sundowns of this world. Now it is Chiefs, top of the log and in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup.
"So at the moment they are the in-form team, no question about that. So we got to show character once again and try to get something out of the game," Marques adds.
