Monare a wanted man following shock Pirates exit

In-demand midfielder Thabang Monare could join former teammate Gabadihno Mhango in relocating to Durban following his shock Orlando Pirates exit on Monday.

Monare became a free agent with the expiration of his current deal after failing to agree to terms on a contract extension with the Pirates hierarchy during protracted negotiations.

KickOff understands that AmaZulu has moved quickly to make contact with a view of recruiting the Bafana Bafana international ahead of next season.

"The news only broke yesterday, and I am sure many teams would be interested," a source close to the situation informs KickOff.

Usuthu has already made their intentions clear with the addition of Mhango, Kaizer Chiefs' Dumisani Zuma and up and coming star Ethan Brooks among a host of new signings.
