Pirates gained revenge on Saturday after losing by the same score in the reverse fixture in November in Soweto.
"We have won here but we are not over the moon," said Micho after the league match at Loftus Versfeld.
"We live under the philosophy when it's good, you don't have to fly. If it's bad you don't give up. We felt salt at Orlando Stadium and Sundowns sugar [during the first round]. Today salt is with them, sugar is with us. This is how football is."
The Serbian said his side are determined to bring joy to The Ghost, who saw their team suffer a record 6-0 loss to Downs last season and finish outside of the top eight for the first time in PSL history.
"There was so much pain with this badge, with supporters, with ourselves and we entered this game to leave the style but look at the effectiveness, because this is how you lift up confidence," said Micho.
"This is how we look at effectiveness for the pain that Orlando Pirates supporters felt throughout last season, ourselves and so many players played here. We really wanted to give something to ourselves that we will be proud of."
Bucs, who trail log leaders Downs by five points, next host Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium this Saturday (20h15).
