Messi gaining insight into Neymar


The South American stars were both on target in Barca's 3-1 win over Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League last night.

Messi teed up Neymar for the opening goal before scoring himself in the Group F tie at Camp Nou. Sandro Ramirez added a third in stoppage time, while Anwar El Ghazi netted for the Dutch champions, who were minus Bafana Bafana midfielder Thulani Serero.

Messi told TV3: “Luckily we now understand each other better and we can score for the team. That's the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, Messi is confident fellow Luis Suarez will reassert his worth for the Catalans. The Uruguayan could make his Barca debut on the weekend as his four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup is set to expire.

“We all are looking forward to seeing Suarez with us. He is a great forward and will give much to us," added Messi.
