Mathaithai: 'This is going to be a heist'

Mathaithai FC chairman Sipho Gxilishe says his team are confident of pulling off a Nedbank Cup heist against much-fancied Mamelodi Sundowns.

Gcilishe insists Tuesday's Nedbank Cup last 16 clash is the perfect opportunity to clinch an easy R400 000 in prizemoney.

The eight teams to reach the quarterfinals stage are set to earn R400 000 in bonuses.

"We concluded the bonus matter in our meeting yesterday," Gxilishe tells KickOff.

"This is what we are calling a heist, Nedbank Cup matches we refer to as a "football heist", but this fixture we are calling it a massive heist.

"We will pick our best eleven, they also better do the same because we are playing to win. Ingxaki iyeza (trouble is coming).

"I heard Rulani Mokwena earlier on, and he thinks he's got things figured out.

"He's got another thing coming. We will take on these people pound for pound."
