News coming out of the Brazilians’ camp is that South American attacker Gaston Sirino is fully fit and raring to go after recovering from an injury that has kept him out of the defending champions’ last few matches.
The 27-year-old Sirino, who did not take time to settle when he joined Sundowns in January, had pulled his hamstring and missed out on the 3-3 draw against AmaZulu as well as the 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows last week.
He was in fact due for a late fitness test before the clash against Usuthu, but was unable to pass it.
Sirino has played five matches in all competitions for the Brazilians and has one assist. His return will increase the competition for places in the starting line-up as the Celtic clash approaches.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has earmarked Sirino for the PSL Footballer of the Season award, so the Uruguayan has some catching up to do when he gets back on the pitch.
