Can Downs make games-in-hand count?

Sundowns were beaten 2-0 by AmaZulu last week at Loftus Stadium, ending an incredible run of over a year without a defeat in the league, but they’ve shown many a time that they are capable of bouncing back when they suffer defeat.

It’s another chance for third-placed Sundowns to make use of the games in hand they have. The eight-time PSL champions have played three less games than log leaders Bidvest Wits and a victory against Lidoda Duvha tonight would move them to within the Clever Boys.

“It’s important to win our games, especially because it’s the second round of the season and focus on each game. The points are important. We won’t count the games we have in hand, we treat them like any other game we’d have on our schedule,” Kekana tells KickOff.com.

New signing Emiliano Tade will make his league debut for the side today, after scoring in his first appearance for the side in the CAF Champions League last Friday.
