Maboe: It's going to be tricky

The defending Absa Premiership champions will take on an unbeaten Phunya Sele Sele side at Dr Molemela Stadium (19h30), in a battle of local coaches Pitso Mosimane and Steve Komphela.

The last time Komphela took on Mosimane was as coach of Kaizer Chiefs, but he’s since found a new home at Celtic and is doing an incredible job, despite the club’s financial troubles.

With Komphela at the helm, Celtic have registered four wins and two draws and will go joint-top with Bidvest Wits on the table should they overcome Sundowns.

Maboe knows Celtic will not want to throw away their unbeaten record, so he expects a tough encounter.

“It’s going to be a tricky game. We are playing them away and they have not lost a game this season, so they won’t be pushovers. They will be looking to better their record of not losing a game, so we are expecting a tough one,” Maboe, who has bagged two goals this season, tells

“We’ve been working hard on strengthening the team. We’ve worked hard as a team and it also goes down to one putting in extra work.”

Fifth-placed Sundowns will be without six players for the clash, including Oupa Manyisa and Anthony Laffor.
