Sundowns went four points clear of Orlando Pirates at the Absa Premiership summit, with five games left, with a 2-1 victory at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
Tau bagged a 51st minute winner - to join Polokwane City's Rodney Ramagalela at the top of the league scoring charts with 11 goals - after Wayne Arendse cancelled out Lucky Nguzana's opener for mid-table Bakgaga before the break.
While Tau is firing, Brockie is contrastingly enduring a trying time at Chloorkop since his high-profile January signing from SuperSport United. The New Zealand forward is yet to open his account for Downs, having plundered 54 goals in three years with Matsatsantsa.
Mosimane felt the Brazilians took some time to settle down in Polokwane.
He said: "We didn't start very well, they were much sharper, quicker, they could get the second balls. It was a little bit of heavy legs, but what's important with time they adjusted.
"It was very difficult, we didn't manage the organisation on the corner kick there, we left one person with two to cross the ball and also we didn't mark at the back you know. It's unbelievable, they did the same thing also with the short corner kick, they lost focus and that's how we equalised.
"But yeah, second half was much better for us, it was about who could put their foot on ball, who can direct the game, be in control. When you direct the game you are in control, you can create opportunities.
"I think [Sibusiso Vilakazi] 'Vila' showed a little bit of experience there. Normally when people get into that space where he passed Percy the ball, they usually panic, and he had cold nerves to select, see who he should pass the ball to. And Percy is also showing a little bit of maturity now. Normally they blast the ball there, he put it in well and scored.
"But after that, let's be honest it could have gone to three, could have gone to four. There was just a comedy of errors, but even in the first half I think [Gaston] Sirino should score that goal, Khama [Billiat] should score.
"But it was not an easy game. At the end I was a little bit worried that it becomes too easy for us, and it can come and bite us you know.
"But yeah, Themba Zwane just always comes in and gives more dominance on the ball, Oupa [Manyisa] has experiencce you know. Brockie, I don't know who jinxed him, hopefully he's gonna get his goal."
