The Ivorian attacker, who joined Sundowns in August last year from Asec Mimosas, smashed the ball home in the 63rd minute following a flick-on from an attacking throw-in at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
"I am so happy for him," says Mosimane.
"I kept him on, I felt this is the time. In a big game like this it's not easy and you are starting. Sometimes you trust your instinct. I am happy he broke the ice."
Meanwhile, Mosimane says his charges must just focus on winning their remaining four league games as they trail log leaders Bidvest Wits - 1-0 victors over Orlando Pirates yesterday - by three points.
"What ever happens on the other side, you need to win and concentrate on your game because who knows what is going to happen at the end.
"If you don't get it, you don't get. If you get it, it will be nice but you have to give the best until the end, that's important."
The Brazilians next visit Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Sunday (15h00).
