Makgalwa joined the Team of Choice at the start of the new season on loan from the defending champions, but halfway through the deal he was sent back to Chloorkop by the KZN outfit.
Last week KickOff.com reported that the under 23 player returned to Gauteng after being released at Maritzburg, while Farook Kadodia also explained why they decided to let the player go.
“He's a very good player, but unfortunately he was no longer part of our plans anymore,” Kadioda said.
After the game against Maritzburg on Tuesday night, Mosimane was asked about the player but did not want to go too deep into the matter.
"He's still our player. On why he was released I think Maritzburg United can explain to you guys. They have more information on this but as his club we happy to keep him."
Makgalwa made the name for himself in the Multchoice Diski Challenge for Masandawana before heading to KZN where he made 19 appearances for the Team of Choice. He was out of favour when Muhsin Ertugral took over from Fadlu Davids late in December last year.
