Mosimane's plan for Lebusa

Lebusa has joined the reigning Absa Premiership champions from relegated Ajax Cape Town. There were reports that Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were interested in the services of Lebusa, who can play in the centre of defence or at left back.

Mosimane says he has to get Lebusa to understand the system Sundowns play, because at Ajax he played in a backline consisting of three central defenders.

“He is also waiting for his chance. You must remember, Mosa has been playing as a left centre-back in a system that we don’t really play at Sundowns. He played in a 5-3-2 system, with wingbacks and three central defenders,” Mosimane says.

“It becomes different when you play two versus two, meaning two centre-backs and fullbacks. You are a little bit thin because you are one man less when you defend.

“So we have to help Mosa play on a two, because we play with two centre-backs in front of the goal. I even asked my analysts to get me videos of Mosa playing in a system with two centre-backs, because remember we don’t have a lot of time to train. It’s Wednesday and Saturday, Wednesday and Saturday. When are we going to train?”
