Junaid Sait is currently on the books of Ajax Cape Town, but has seen little game time since joining the Urban Warriors at the start of the current campaign from National First Division side Stellenbosch FC.
The midfielder has only made three appearances, all of which came under former coach Stanley Menzo. He does not seem to be in coach Muhsin Ertugral’s plans.
"I think he is better than many who currently plays in the PSL, although coach Muhsin seems not to think so you know, but I can also understand cause Muhsin's objective for now is to avoid relegation," Junaid's father tells KickOff.com.
“So he is definitely gonna play who he knows and wasn't gonna put anyone on trial really. So from that perspective I can understand but I think he is better than many in the PSL that are currently playing regularly at their clubs.
“Aerially he is very good, he defends crosses well. I know in South Africa we have a major problem with defending anything from set pieces wide, to crosses wide, you know what I mean? And he is technically sound you know because he came through the Stars of Africa Academy coached by Farouk Khan, so there the technique is spot on, and he reads the game better than many.
“So ja although he is battling to get into the Ajax squad I'm pretty sure he's gonna get an opportunity to play one day.
“I think he will hold down his position in the team or at any other team for that matter.”
