Chiefs' log leading run broken down

With Kaizer Chiefs currently on an extended break after one of their fixtures were postponed, looks into their 19-game run that has yielded 45 points this season.

Chiefs currently sit pretty at the summit of the Absa Premiership log standings, having won 14, drawn three and lost just two of their 19 matches thus far.

They also hold a comfortable 10-point lead over second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, who have a game in hand, while 15 points seperate them from fifth-placed Bidvest Wits, who have four games in hand.

But not only are Amakhosi top of the overall table, they currently lead the scoring charts with 38 strikes – only two goals fewer than Sundowns scored in their entire league-winning 2018/19 campaign.

A break down of this shows that no team has scored more goals per home match than Ernst Middendorp's side, with a tally of 19 goals in nine home matches and averaging 2,11 goals.
