A lot is expected from Ntshangase at Chiefs, which means he will have to know how to handle the pressure that comes with playing for a big club.

A man who knows what it takes to play for Amakhosi is Khumalo and he hopes Ntshangase will make his mark.

“Playing for Chiefs comes with the club. Playing for Chiefs is not an easy task. You sleep once and you will never regain, you are out. That’s the biggest team in the country, so you don’t go out there to prove a point but to go out there and enjoy yourself,” Khumalo said.

The former Amakhosi assistant coach says he could be the reason Ntshangase secured a move to Chiefs.

A legend at Naturena, Khumalo received a call from Glamour Boys football manager Bobby Motaung asking about the player.

“I did have a chat with Ntshangase. I received a call from Bobby. He was in the board with the chairman [Kaizer Motaung] and Steve [coach, Komphela]. He asked my view about him coming to Chiefs and I gave them my view and that’s probably the reason he is there.”

Baroka will come up against Ntshangase when the two sides meet at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday (15h30). Having worked closely with him in the first half of the season, Khumalo and coach Kgoloko Thobejane will know the threat the 24-year-old midfielder poses.
