Nkhatha, though, looks like he will feature in tonight's Soweto Derby against Moroka Swallows at FNB Stadium.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi said via their official website that fellow forward Bernard Parker should "be fairly soon back to full fitness" after also missing the Ajax clash with "bone bruising on his foot". Parker only recently returned from a lengthy spell out with an ankle problem.

Chiefs also gave updates on Katlego Mphela and Itumeleng Khune regarding their respective foot and ankle complaints.

"Katlego Mphela is progressing well and running on a special treadmill.

"Itumeleng Khune is reported to be improving every day and working hard off-the-pitch."

Hitman Mphela sustained his knock after scoring in a MTN8 semi-final defeat of Platinum Stars on 24 August.

Goalkeeper Khune last skippered the Glamour Boys on 30 August in a 2-0 League win over SuperSport United.
