This is according to a statement from Chiefs, part of which reads: 'Coach Steve Komphela who was part of the process of bringing Hutting to Chiefs welcomed Hutting to the club. “A hearty welcome to Rob and we look forward to his cooperation and contribution to Kaizer Chiefs.”'
Chiefs on Tuesday unveiled the little-known Hutting, who will be with the club until the end of the season but may stay on at Naturena.
The Dutchman will assist the Glamour Boys academy and Komphela, who is under pressure to avoid a hat-trick of seasons without silverware in the final year of his contract.
Hutting is said to hold a UEFA Pro licence and a masters degree from Leuven University. A former midfielder/striker, the 62-year-old has coached lower league teams in Belgium, Holland and Germany.
Komphela's side are eight points adrift of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns after 16 games, and next host Polokwane City at FNB Stadium on Saturday night.
