Brockie had an opportunity to play upfront with Tau and Billiat in the Absa Premiership match against Cape Town City recently. He watched in awe as Tau’s brilliantly looped pass was volleyed home by Billiat, as Sundowns registered their first victory over the Citizens.
Tau has eight goals and nine assists in all competitions, while Billiat is on six goals and four assists despite not featuring regularly in this campaign.
“I think you are talking about the best players in the league, then you’ve just named the two of them. The ability that they have in a one-on-one situation, to glide past players. You an see the influence they have on the team in the goal we scored [against City].
“To be able to share the pitch with those two is welcoming and I am really looking forward to those relationships building over time.”
Brockie is still waiting for his first goal for the Brazilians and will be hoping it comes when they take on Free State Stars at home next Wednesday.
