Wits striker goes back to Limpopo


Bidvest Wits have released a striker just six months after he joined, with the player having since penned a deal with Baroka.

Baroka have made their fifth signing of the January transfer window after snapping up striker Ivan Mahangwahaya on a free transfer.

Mahangwahaya was released by Wits just six month after joining on a free transfer from Balck Leopards at the start of the 2019/20 season.

He joins Ethen Sampson, Thamsanqa Masiya, Nhlanhla Mgaga and Mogau Kwinama in Dylan Kerr's new options for the remainder of the campaign.

The 30-year-old managed just three appearances for Gavin Hunt's Clever Boys, scoring one goal against UD Songo of Mozambique in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds.

Bakgaga have confirmed that the lanky forward has since penned a short-term deal until the end of the season, with an option to extend beyong that.
