Khoza vows unruly fans crackdown

Pirates were thumped 6-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday in a match marred by thuggish behaviour in the stands, which left at least 13 supporters in hospital.

"This is an unusual day for the club and today we meet to address a matter that should not happen in our football," said Khoza, who doubles as the PSL chairman, at a press conference this morning.

"Violence is not an answer; violence diminishes any legitimate reasons in any protest situation.

"I pronounce here today, clearly and unequivocally, that we support the law in taking full action against the perpetrators."

The 'Iron Duke' also revealed the club plans to name their new coach next Monday to replace interim mentor Augusto Palacios.

Palacios has struggled on his return to the hotseat following the sudden resignation of Muhsin Ertugral in November last year.
