Khumalo heading back to Spurs

Khumalo impressed on loan at Doncaster Rovers this past campaign before he ruptured his patella tendon in Bafana's 5-0 loss to Brazil in early March.

“As far as recovery is concerned, he (Khumalo) is just waiting for pre-season to resume and then he can start his rehabilitation,” Khumalo's representative, Glyn Binkin, tells KickOff.com.

“With regards to his future, Bongani will be returning to Spurs during the pre-season. He has a contract with them and that is all I can say at this stage.”

The 27-year-old centre-back is yet to make an impact at Spurs since joing the club from SuperSport United in January 2011. The Londoners farmed him out to Preston North End, Reading and PAOK in Greece prior to his stint at Doncaster.
