The midfielder was an integral part of the Brazilians’ League title-winning season, playing 26 matches and scoring three goals.
Now Kekana says he wants to experience that again, and go on and lift more trophies.
“We haven’t discussed our season goals yet, but personally I would love to add some more silverware to my collection,” he tells KickOff.com.
“After winning the title we now have a taste for it, and all the players are looking to defend that crown. Of course it will be very tough, but playing for Mamelodi Sundowns, that is what you come to expect and we will be up for the challenge.”
Kekana, who is contracted at Chloorkop until 2017, says he is feeling refreshed after his break, which he spent with his family and watching the World Cup.
“I didn’t get up to much during the off-season,” he adds. “I was at home and spent time with my family. It was a tough season for us and I was committed to work, so I didn’t get to spend too much time with them. So I have dedicated this off time to them.
“I’ve also been watching a lot of the World Cup and I’m happy my team, Chile, have been doing so well. Hopefully they can keep their good run going.”
