The Lions of the North are ninth on the log standings with 29 points, nine points above the relegation zone, but are not yet safe from facing the axe.
But Da Gama insists he is not worried because he is targeting a top-eight finish.
"I'm not even thinking of relegation, that's far beyond my dreams," Da Gama said.
"I'm really pushing for a top-eight finish, four points and we will be right in there. I know there is a monkey on our back because the team just got promoted but I look beyond that."
With seven matches remaining, Da Gama highlighted the need to win home matches if they are to reach their goals.
"If you win at home, try to get a point away, also try to win as many of your home games as possible... we will keep on fighting, the next match is against Chippa United."
