Gumede eyes MTN8 honours

Dikwena, who beat Bidvest Wits 6-3 on aggregate in the last-four, will battle Orlando Pirates in the showpiece decider at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

The Rustenburg-based outfit last won a trophy in 2006, the Telkom Knockout Cup.

"It is a wonderful achievement to play in a major final. As a player this is the sort of stuff that we live for,” Gumede is quoted as saying by the Premier Soccer League's official website.

"We have come a long way as a team and this is the product of a hard and collective effort.

"Last season we did well, but we did not win anything. Now we have an opportunity to get some silverware in the club’s honours cabinet.

"I believe that last season was a great foundation. We still have the same team. Nothing major has changed except the coach, so we are continuing with the same momentum."
