Margeman makes decision on future

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Grant Margeman has made a decision about his immediate future as he struggles to break into the squad.

The 22-year-old is said to have turned down a loan move to another DStv Premiership team.

Sundowns recently discussed a possible six-month loan deal for the player but Margeman reportedly told management he is still happy to fight for his place in the squad.

Margeman was one of the best players at Ajax Cape Town last season but has so far failed to get into the Sundowns playing squad.

"Funny you know as a footballer how everyone wants to play," the source tells KickOff.com.

"Another thing is that Sundowns is currently doing well, and the player was ill for two weeks. But he has recovered now. He has already told the club that he is staying."

Seemingly unstoppable Sundowns have now opened a five-point gap at the top of the DStv Premiership table and look on course to defend their title.
