Igesund happy ‘tough choices’ paid off

Matsatsantsa won 1-0 at Dobsonville Stadium, with Dove Wome again amongst the goals, but Igesund says it was easier said than done.

"We knew playing against Swallows was going to be difficult and I have to congratulate them for the way they played,” Igesund said.

“I watched their match against Kaizer Chiefs; they scored first and were unlucky not to win that match. They deserved to win that one."

Igesund adds: "Coming up against a difficult Swallows team, I had to make three tough changes to my team. I had to leave out the captain [Clayton Daniels], Michael Morton and [Thabo] Moloi. 

“It was tough but I had to take the risk and I am happy it worked for us on the night. It was not a great performance from us, but we are happy to take maximum points and can go and prepare for our weekend match [in the Telkom Knockout against Orlando Pirates].
