Igesund happy at Matsatsantsa

Igesund took over the coaching reigns from Cavin Johnson after a poor start this season. However, Matsatsantsa have won their past three games since the arrival of the former Bafana Bafana coach.

Igesund has attributed their success in the past few games to hard work from his players.

"The confidence is back in the team. Credit must go to the players. They have changed lot of things, they apply themselves. They are eager to please the technical team, they are eager to please each other and work for each other. That makes me so happy," says Igesund.

"Three wins in a row is fantastic but there is still more work to do. We have not yet arrived, but still more work to do. I am loving every moment here, always looking forward to coming here in the morning at 08h30, spending time on the field with players and so many things to do which I missed for the past two years."

SuperSport are set to take on University of Pretoria in a Tshwane derby on Saturday and Igesund is confident that his team is going to continue with their winning ways.

"I am looking forward to it. At least I have had time to work with the players during the FIFA week. We have done well in the past three games and I hope they will take the form into the next game," he adds.

"Tuks are a difficult team but we look forward to a good match. I hope we remain effective and well organised."
