Following four draws and a loss, the Glamour Boys finally earned their maiden three-pointer with a 4-1 rout of Cape Town City on the weekend, lifting them to fifth on the table with seven points.
Yet their head coach refuses to get too excited.
“We need a balance, not only in the game on the field, but in our mentality,” he said.
“When things go wrong, we need to keep strong and not lose the mood, but continue believing in our jobs. And when we get victories and success, we must keep the balance and stay humble – this is the right mentality.”
Solinas was naturally happy with the big victory on Saturday, but knows following it up with a similar result against tonight’s opponents Free State Stars will be no easy task.
“I’m happy with the win over City, but we need to keep our feet on the ground,” he said.
“We’ve got a difficult game against Free State Stars because at home they’re a very strong team, so we need to focus on the next game now.”
It will be the first time Solinas will face his former employers in the league, with the Italian admitting it will be an emotional encounter.
Kick-off for tonight’s only Absa Premiership clash is set for 19h30.
