Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Gert Schalkwyk has revealed how a dressing room bust-up with a former coach contributed to his demise at Amakhosi.
After four-and-a-half seasons at Chiefs, Schalkwyk was loaned to Bloemfontein Celtic for six months before joining arch-rivals Pirates, breaking Amakhosi hearts.
Schalkwyk recently said he never failed at Pirates and should actually be acknowledged for helping them win the 2010/11 league title due to the part he played while on loan at Maritzburg United.
The Klerksdorp-born former midfielder remains one of those rare players who have played for South Africa's two biggest clubs.

The 38-year-old now reveals why he left Naturena in the first place having once been tipped to be the next national team star before his career started to decline.
"My contract was about to expire at Chiefs, and apparently I wasn't in Muhsin Ertugral's plans anymore, so that's how I left Chiefs to go to Pirates," Schalkwyk tells KickOff.com.
"You remember when Muhsin joined Chiefs? They sent me straight to the younger division to go and train there with them. So eventually when I came back I started scoring goals, I was training very hard.
"So I think that was one of the things he didn't like you know. I think he didn't like also my style of play. I remember there was a time we had a fight in the changeroom, but it was at training.
"The previous day we were training with Elsa [Storm, former Chiefs fitness trainer] and this other guy called Warren. Me and Warren we made jokes before training you know. I was like, 'Yoh! We gonna run again today? Can't we play soccer what-what...'
"So now Warren just told Muhsin that, 'No man, me and Gert we made a few jokes and stuff like that.' Then the next day in the changeroom Muhsin just comes straight at me shouting, 'You, I don't want to see you here anymore! Blah! Blah! Blah!'
"Then I went into Bobby's office. Bobby phoned Warren then Warren told him we were just joking. Ja, he didn't like me [Muhsin] but I liked him.
"At Chiefs I enjoyed my stay, I won a lot of trophies also with Chiefs. It was the league, it was the Absa [Cup], it was the Coca-Cola, it was the MTN8, four, five trophies yes."
