Free transport for Meyiwa funeral

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa and SAFA, in consultation with Pirates, have availed 10 buses and two trains to the football fraternity, in particular Bucs fans.

All the buses will depart at 7pm on Friday, 31 October at different pick-up points around Gauteng while the two trains – a 'sleeper train' and the Premier Class - will depart at 7pm and 7.30pm respectively.

The sleeper train can transport 240 passengers while the Premier Class can transport 84. The trains will depart from Park Station while the departure points for the buses are as follows:

Two buses will depart from Orlando Stadium

Two from Ghandi Square, Johannesburg CBD.

Two from Pretoria, at corner of Jacob Mare and Prinsloo Streets

One from the KFC in Brakpan in Ekurhuleni

One from Sebokeng Culture Club, next to the Post Office

One from Zads Taxi Rank at Sangweni

One from Bara Square opposite St. Johns and Baragwaneth Hospital.

In KwaZulu-Natal, all football fans can travel by train to attend the Meyiwa funeral at Moses Mabhida Stadium free of charge. The trains will transport the fans from all corridors in the province to and from the stadium.
