A former promising Ajax Amsterdam talent is back in South Africa and training with a DStv Premiership outfit in the hopes of securing a permanent move.
Dean Solomons is currently training with Western Cape outfit Stellenbosch FC after parting ways with Varbergs BoIS in January 2022.
Sources close to the player have confirmed that Solomons is currently under assessment over the next few weeks with the hope of securing a deal.
The Ajax Cape Town academy product is believed to be open to an eventual overseas return but is currently focused on impressing Steve Barker and his coaching staff.
The 23-year-old spent three years in the Netherlands with Ajax after joining from the now-defunct Urban Warriors in 2017.
After one season in the U-19s, Solomons featured in the UEFA Youth League and Eerste Divisie with Jong Ajax but ultimately failed to break into the first-team before leaving at the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
The DStv Premiership outfit currently occupy sixth position in the standings and look set to clinch their highest-ever position since returning to the top-flight back in 2019.
