Mathoho and 4 others ruled out


Kaizer Chiefs will be missing one of their key figures when the return to action in the DStv Premiership this weekend, while four other players will also sit out.

Chiefs will be without defender Erick Mathoho when they travel to Durban to face Golden Arrows at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h30).

'Tower' misses out after being shown a red card in the previous encounter, in which they suffered a 2-0 defeat and elimination from the MTN8 at the hands of nemesis Orlando Pirates.

The lanky centre-back will also miss Amakhosi's next outing to Dobsonville Stadium, where Gavin Hunt's men will be looking to overcome top flight rookies Swallows FC.

Meanwhile, Arrows will miss the services of left-back Divine Lunga, who also picked up a straight red card in their last encounter against Baroka FC.

Elsewhere, Maritzburg Uniited travel to Venda minus two players – Riyaaz Ismail and Sibusiso Hlubi, with the former having been sent off in his PSL debut against Cape Town City and the latter suffering the same fate against Chippa United last time out.

Black Leopards new coach Dylan Kerr will also miss right-back Tebogo Makobela when they welcome the Team of Choice on Saturday, after he received his marching orders against Baroka.
