The Absa Premiership title race could sway in Kaizer Chiefs or Mamelodi Sundowns' favour this week, with Maritzburg United at the centre of it.
League football returns tonight after a week of cup competition and every match now will be monitored by many, especially those in the title race.
Tinkler's side take on Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium at 19h30 and then face Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday (18h00), and two wins would assist Pitso Mosimane's team provided they beat Chippa United.
United coach Tinkler, who is capable of spoiling any party, is ready to face the two league title contenders within the space of four days, starting with his former club tonight.
"No obviously, everything is fine. We know how important our next two league games are. Both of them are going to be tough," he says.
"Wits, then three days later against Chiefs, but we've just got to be disciplined and professional in terms of our application.
"If we put in a good performance, we stand a good chance to collect points against both of these teams. That going to be our objective, for us to go there and collect something.
"I think the players know the importance of doing well in these two games."
Maritzburg can draw level on 30 points with fifth-placed Wits if they win tonight and strengthen their top-eight ambitions.
Wits, meanwhile, still have four games in hand on Chiefs and can move three points behind the leaders if they win all their catch-up matches.
