Tinkler, Hlatshwayo win PSL gongs

Cape Town City coach Tinkler has led his side to a strong run of results over the past few weeks, taking them to the top of the Absa Premiership standings with eight league games remaining this season.

Hlatshwayo, meanwhile, saw his impressive performances for Bidvest Wits last month rewarded with the Player of the Month honour, with the Clever Boys captain inspiring his side to within one point of the Premiership lead.

Speaking to the PSL, Hlatshwayo said: "Credit must go to coach Gavin Hunt. He has made me realise qualities in me that I never thought I had."

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Siphiwe Tshabalala walked away with the Goal of the Month award for February thanks to his goal against Free State Stars.

Speaking after collecting his award, Tshabalala said: "I would like to thank the fans for voting for me. I always put a lot of work into set plays."

He continued: "We are a big team, yes we are a work in progress and we cannot obviously control what other people say."
