Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila FC striker Edward Manqele says it is a good thing they kick off the promotion playoffs against Royal Eagles today as they have a score to settle.
The two National First Division sides qualified for the three-team mini-league by virtue of finishing second and third on the regular log table. The match between home side Eagles and Vhadau Vha Damani is at 15h00.
"Could say it's a good thing because they owe us points," Manqele tells KickOff.com.
"We lost against them at home so we are going there with full force and the boys are ready. We are very motivated, and to look also at other youngsters it will be a great platform for them to also play in the PSL come next season. Even for us senior players it would be great to play in the PSL.
"But on the other hand we have to take one game at a time and not think ahead before the final whistle. So this will also be great exposure to the guys because all eyes will be on us, and when you check also in the league we did tremendously well winning back to back, so we are very confident and motivated because we really want this. It will change our lives for the better."
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs striker says they will treat both Eagles and Maritzburg United equally.
"Both teams are tough but at the end it's about who wants it more. So for that to happen you need soldiers and to work as a team and to work hard. Anything is possible."
