Radebe: Sundowns will win the league

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker David Radebe explains why he believes rivals Mamelodi Sundowns have an edge over Amakhosi.

Radebe, who won the league twice with Chiefs in the past under the late Ted Dumitru, knows very well what it takes to win the Premiership title.

Sundowns drew with Orlando Pirates on Tuesday while Chiefs did the same on Wednesday when they played to a 1-1 draw with Bidvest Wits.

With Chiefs therefore unable to capitalise on Sundowns dropping points, Radebe feels it will be difficult for Amakhosi for the remainder of the season.

"You know the problem is that Sundowns don't lose. That's the problem, Sundowns don't lose," Radebe tells KickOff.com.

"Their loss is playing to a draw with the likes of Pirates and Chiefs... that's their loss. But against the small teams Sundowns they just collect and collect. It's not so simple for them to get a loss.

"If Chiefs can't win against the likes of Wits then Sundowns will just come and beat those teams and collect points. Sundowns will walk away with this league. Sundowns are stronger than Chiefs."

Radebe also believes the midfield chemistry will be a problem for Ernst Middendorp without George Maluleka.

"It's going to be tough to fill the gap left by Maluleka," he adds.

"He played a lot of games for them this season. To introduce a new player now in that position it's going to be difficult, the games are running out. "
