Comitis rules out Mashego to Chiefs links

Cape Town City chairman John Comitis has strongly ruled out any chance of star defender Terrence Mashego moving to Kaizer Chiefs.

The Bafana Bafana international is said to have attracted interest at Naturena after his impressive displays.

Chiefs are believed to be preparing a lucrative offer for the 26-year-old left-back.

Comitis insists that the club would not sell their best players after qualifying for the CAF Champions League.

"I spoke to the player yesterday, and I asked him what was all this about because we have made it very clear.

"That no player will be leaving the club this season because we are challenging for everything," Comitis tells KickOff.

"And he is very much part of the family, he is very much committed to the club.

"He just had an operation on his knee yesterday from the injury that he had with Bafana and he is completely committed to the club.

"I'm telling you now, Mashego will never play in this country, from Cape Town City, he's going overseas."
