Chippa hungry for result against Downs

Chippa United coach Clinton Larsen is still positive about their survival as well as their chances of beating Mamelodi Sundowns this afternoon.

The Chilli Boys, whose CEO Morgan Mammila resigned this morning, are third from bottom in the Absa Premiership with four matches remaining.

Larsen is buoyed by the fact his team knocked Sundowns out of the Nedbank Cup and believes they can beat Pitso Mosimane's side again as they look to respond to their own cup exit at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend.

"I've said it before and will say it again, if we keep this fighting spirit we will survive relegation, we have only lost three games since I took over," he said.

"We are so confident for our last four matches of the season. We need to keep on performing and I know we will get results, these players are hungry.

"At this stage it's important we grind out results, not only playing pretty football but getting results as we know our situation."

Kick-off at Loftus Stadium is at 15h00.
