'Chiefs forcing the Zwane, Sheppard relationship'

A Bafana Bafana legend says Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs should stop forcing the Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard combination as it will never work.

According to Linda Buthelezi, the club development coaches like Donald 'Ace' Khuse, Ntsie 'Teargas' Maphike and even Molefi Ntseki should be roped into the technical team instead.

"I'm glad they are talking about beefing up the technical team, but with who?" Buthelezi tells KickOff.

"Because if you bring in a white assistant coach you are still not speaking our language as Kaizer Chiefs followers.

"Yes, you can hire them as physicians and so on, I'm talking about the mindset.

"Shepards never played with Arthur, But the club is forcing the relationship.

"They might have played together in the national team, but the national team is like being invited to a wedding.

"I believe Shepards was brought to Chiefs by an Agent, who else? Because you don't just join Chiefs.

"We have the likes of Ntsie and Ace Khuse in the development, Shepards will never add value because he doesn't understand the Chiefs way.

"Yes, they will try to justify it but remember the young man Kaizer Motaung Jnr. never speak about Sheppard, he only speaks about Arthur.

"In terms of technicality, I don't think he contributes a lot in changing the mentality of any player.

"You need to have a coach who will introduce change to a certain individual or the team itself.

"I would have loved to see Ntseki becoming part of Arthur's technical team.

"The experience that is there is so vast that they can even win the league if Ntseki was there, or probably Ntsie Maphike, Ace Khuse and Arthur...the three of them.

"So I suggest Shepards should also be let go."
