When the next transfer window opens in January, Hazard will have 12 months remaining on his current deal and Los Blancos are widely expected to tempt the Blues into a similar deal that saw Thibault Courtois depart from Stamford Bridge.
And Morata has now explained why it's difficult to see the Belgian ace remaining in London beyond the current season.
"If he has said this so clearly, it is because that is the way it is," Morata told Spanish TV station Cuatro.
"Chelsea would not be able to block this but they would get a strong deal because he will not force his departure, he is under contract, and the club would get a good deal."
