Comitis: Manyama's got visitor rights

Manyama, who starred for City when he won the PSL Footballer of the Year award in 2016/17, may make his debut for Chiefs this weekend at Cape Town Stadium.

The forward recently linked up with the Soweto giants as a free agent following a disappointing year in Turkey with Konyaspor.

"Is he gonna play? Then we'll have to play rugby to counter that," Comitis tells

"We will deal with anything. Listen, football is like that (players moving to opposition teams) you just have to accept what it is. At least we know exactly what he is capable of and we'll have to deal with it.

"But we don't worry too much about the opposition, we will make our plan. It's our home game and they must follow our plan, we can't follow their plan.

"He is welcome to Cape Town as a visitor. He's got visitor's rights, we'll give him that. He will be treated like a visitor that we know.

"It's gonna be an interesting game. At the end of the day we know what he is capable of. I don't know his condition and fitness but we'll be content with that when we see him on the team sheet."

The former Ajax Cape Town boss expects a bumper crowd for the contest.

"There's been a good response by the fans. We have already sold half the tickets that we put out of the 25 000 available, so we are ready. We have a fantastic pitch, so everything is set up for a good game."
