Nthethe on the mend

The Bafana Bafana centre-back, who played in the 4-1 World Cup qualifying win over Botswana, missed the 2-1 friendly loss to Zimbabwe on Tuesday with a suspected hamstring strain.

Celtic, however, have revealed on their website that Nthethe is actually experiencing sacroiliac joint pain in his lower back.

He is, however, expected to recover in time for Saturday's Premiership clash with University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium.

In other Phunya Sele Sele squad news, Tladi Majake faces three months on the sidelines as he was set to undergo shoulder surgery on Thursday, while Tsietsie Mahoa and Lerato Manzini are available again although they are short of match fitness.
