Leopards let go of long-serving mid

One of Black Leopards’ longest-serving players has left the club.

Ivan Mahangwahaya was informed by the club today that his contract, which is due to expire on June 30, will not be renewed.

“I was given a letter today by the club… it’s painful to leave the club after such a long time,” Mahangwahaya confirms to KickOff.com.

Mahangwahaya was with the club’s development team for about four years and then with the senior team for the last seven years.

Through their ups and downs, he’s always been one of the players that remained loyal to Lidoda Duvha.

“It’s football and I understand. Now I have to focus on finding a new club,” said Mahangwahaya, who played 13 matches this season.

He has already linked with two clubs, Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu.
