Six players, two officials and their driver suffered injuries when their minibus collided with a Mercedes Benz in Naboomspruit Roedtan Road, at around 9pm on September 29, with the driver coming off worse while the players were treated for minor injuries.

The players who were admitted to a private hospital in Polokwane were Tshepo Mothiba, Mathari Motupa, Augustine Rampela, Maleasenya Kuduku, Thabo Ralebakeng and Caiphus Mashiane, and according to the club’s head coach Sello Chokoe, they are slowly but surely coming to terms with what happened.

“We had a counseling session today at Lebowakgomo hospital,” Chokoe informs KickOff.com.

“About eight players will only resume training on Monday according to the medical report. We’ve also tried to make training more fun so they can forget about that accident and it is working because the players seem to have regained their normal mental state and performance,” he adds.
