Thanda were crowned NFD champions on Wednesday with three games to spare following a 2-1 win over play-off contenders Stellenbosch FC.
Last term Baroka claimed second-tier honours only to find themselves fighting relegation this season in the topflight.
"PSL is on another level," Mammila tells KickOff.com. "This is a new chapter that needs its own attention.
"Their achievement in the NFD does not mean they will achieve in the PSL. But I know they have learned a lot in the past. They are going to do the right thing. I am happy for them. I was in contact with them all along during their games.
"We are good friends in football. I told them even during the 10-year celebration with SuperSport that they have won the league in front of all the other team managers. Signs were on the wall. They have never cracked. I even attended their games, I was there when they drew with Cosmos."
Mammila says professionalism is key in the elite division.
"Professionalism is key in all the departments. Mix hungry players with experienced players. They do have good players, but they must add more good players. Here you win the league with set-pieces not open play. Everything is about being tactical and more technical experience."
