Hendricks signs new Swallows deal

Hendricks’ future had been hanging in uncertainty following a season in which he wasn’t first choice at centre-back but the club has still showed faith in him by retaining him in the Nest for the next two years.

Michael Hughes of MSC Sports, who represents Hendricks, confirms that the 29-year-old will remain at Swallows.

“Ashraf has signed a new two-year contract with Swallows,” says Hughes.

Hendricks has been at Swallows since June 2009 after signing from Bidvest Wits and is the second defender the Birds have retained after also pinning down Luvhengo Mungomeni to a new deal.

The Mitchell's Plain-born defender is a dependable central defender with vast experience having made his PSL debut way back in the 2001/02 season at Hellenic.
